What are people really interested in? What makes them tick?

My theory is that it's all just based on 'luck'. Being seen at the right time by the right number of people. Remember, you're not the only blogger out there and even when you precisely follow the recommendations of articles entitled "How and Why to Blog" etc. there's not a guarantee in this world that you'll get any kind of recognition. The advice is to always blog about what you know, blog with fierce passion, update your blogs regularly, keep them coming back for more. But some of us are still trying to figure out what makes them come back for more.

As a blogger at times I'm thinking, how is it that I see so many blogs by hundreds of bloggers but it seems that none, or not enough of them ever see my blogs? Why won't they comment? So it almost seems like this social networking thing is a rip-off! But it's probably not, as some people do happen to gather a considerable heap of people who want to read more blogs, who comment, who digg and so on. It's also my theory that part of the reason Diggers and Bloggers get so many diggs and comments is they create multiple accounts and rate their own blogs and submissions. But have you seen some of the figures on Digg? Who in the world has time to Digg his own story over 2000 times or submit 100 plus comments with different accounts? Unless he has a myriad of fellow bloggers or friends that will do anything to see him reach the first page of technoratti or Digg or any other availabe social network.

So again, what makes the Kings of bloggers achieve 1000 and more diggs, while the rest are struggling just to reach 20 diggs and feel like someone is paying attention, especially when they blog about something they're passionate about? Where's the equal opportunity? My theory: it's just the head or tail landing of the coin.

Why Blogging is a 100% Gamble

Why do some bloggers on Digg,Technoratti, LiveJournal and all other social networks reach page one within 10 minutes of posting while others can't even get past 5 Diggs? Digg?

Okay, I've submitted so many articles to Digg. The point is, you digg the submission or you don't right. Diggers are getting wayyyyy to personal for me. If someone submits a story you don't like, please don't insult him by saying that's trash or calling him a cunt. You don't have to like the story-not everyone likes yours.

I've read comments plainly insulting the submitor. I actually feel bad for them. That's why I say he who can't handle the digg must NOT digg. It's too crazy up in the Digg world. Is it each digger for himself? Stop insulting the person who submits the story-he didn't write it. Stop it. Behave yourself. If you digg it, u digg, but if you don't, that's cool too. Too many diggers in the kitchen.

Digg users are getting all too defensive and insulting other diggers in the process.
